Wagga Community Band
Beginner's Band
The primary purpose of the Beginner's Band is to provide an opportunity for beginning and begin again players to connect with fellow musicians and enjoy making music. The Wagga Community Beginner's Band is the perfect place to start. We have a number of members who have only taken up an instrument in recent months and are enjoying the challenge tremendously. Helping them along are some experienced players who have dusted off their high school wind and percussion instruments and got back into making music. Added to this mix of developing players are a number of very accomplished musicians who have decided to challenge themselves by trying a different instrument.
The Beginning Band rehearses each Thursday in the hall at South Wagga Public School starting at 5.30pm. We are very fortunate to have the services of one of Wagga’s finest musicians to lead them. Ben Fixter is a professional musician who brings a wealth of musical knowledge and loads of enthusiasm to every rehearsal and performance.
